ACNE Marks

Reclaim Clear Skin: Advanced Solutions for Acne Scars

Dark areas known as acne marks, or hyperpigmentation, follow the resolution of the pimples. The texture of the skin does not alter save from the colour.

Who develops acne marks?

Acne markings can be obtained by anyone having pimples. Still, the tendency is stronger in those who touch, squeeze, or scrape pimples. Deep markings can also heal from too much sun exposure during a pimple outbreak. Some people have a tendency for marks following any damage; these people are more likely to develop post-acne hyperpigmentation.

How should we avoid marks from acne?

Prevention of acne marks depends on quick treatment of the condition. Steers clear of touching or plucking the pimples lowers the chance of acne marks. Good UV protection with supplements of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), antioxidants like pycnogenol, astaxanthin and glutathione minimises the occurrence of marks and helps their speedier cure.

What treatments exist for marks of acne?

Often recommended along with strong UV protection is topical use of alpha hydroxy acids, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, and retinol. Not only can Q switch Nd:YAG laser, picosecond lasers and medium depth peels minimise markings, but they also enhance the texture and quality of skin and any scars.

What negative effects of these therapies for marks of acne?

Except for minor temporary redness or slight swelling (oedema), lasers never have downtime. Because medium depth peels exfoliate outer dead layers of skin, their downtime is usually four to five days. Faster exfoliation results from regular, liberal application of sunscreen, moisturisers, and avoidance of too strong sunlight.
